- While it is not always required that yarn for classes or events be purchased from the Shop, it is always encouraged and very much appreciated.

Vera is a great teacher. This looked really intimidating until we dove into it & then it came together pretty easily. However she was always there to help or answer questions as well as show us different techniques while we were creating our scarves. Highly recommend this class as well as any of her other classes.
Had a great time and came home with a beautiful knitted chicken friend!

Slip Stitch Avenue is such a great yarn shop, has everything you need plus an owner that gets to know her customers, is SUPER helpful and personable! Not to sound like more of an advertisement for the shop than a review, but seriously why shop anywhere else? I can’t think of a reason! Support the small businesses and get all your knitting and crochet supplies from Vera!
This is a fun event. Great to try out a local pub and meet nice people. I love seeing the great projects.

What a great class, Vera is so knowledgeable and PATIENT 😊. She has so many hints and tips to share that helps your knitting projects far less frustrating and much easier and relaxing. Vera’s shop is awesome, chock full of all things knitting 🧶.

This was a FANTASTIC KAL! I had a blast. Vera does an excellent job hosting and facilitating a KAL. It’s a great opportunity to meet other knitters and great motivation to make progress on an awesome project.

Husband and I took a Beginner Knitting class here after stopping in one afternoon. Vera was a wonderful instructor and we both felt that we learned so much in the three classes. We left feeling confident to start our own project! Would highly recommend!
