In this basic sock class, we will discuss standard sock construction. Using double-pointed needles, you will learn the steps and skills necessary to make your own! It is vital that homework be completed between sessions.
Prerequisite Skills:
- Casting on
- Knit stitch
- Purl stitch
- Binding off
Helpful Skills:
- Experience with knitting in the round
- Experience knitting using fingering weight yarn
Materials:
- Fingering weight/sock yarn (smooth/not textured, solid/light color)
- One set of double point needles (Size US 2)
- Stitch markers (small recommended)
- Scissors
- Ruler or Measuring tape
- Tapestry or darning needle (for weaving in ends)
