Requirements:
- Must be able to perform basic knitting stitches without instruction
(incl. cast on, bind off, knit, purl, and at least one increase and decrease) - Yarn for this project must be yarn purchased from Slip Stitch Avenue
- Do your best to attend every session
Materials:
- Worsted weight yarn
- 32" circular knitting needles in size US 8 (Note: Project is worked flat.)
- Scissors
- Tapestry needle
- Row Counter (recommended)
Techniques:
- Sideways shawl construction
- Mosaic knitting
- I cord edging and bind off
- Increases & decreases
- Color changes (variant may be done w/o color changes)

Great knit along. The Night Shift pattern was so much fun and Vera offered help with any part I needed help with. I’ll miss having the KAL to brighten my Wednesdays. Can’t wait for the next one!
I really enjoyed this knit a long! Vera chose a great pattern. This was my first shawl and my first project knitting i-cord. Vera and fellow classmates always make for a great experience at Slip Stitch!
